Published in London as Six Lessons or Divertiments for two Violoncellos, opera quarta, this collection shows six duets, each divided in three o four movements. From a broad sonata-form to rondos, fugues and concealed old-style dance-like pieces, every duet is characterized by a fully developed cello writing, with a special attention to details. The score is edited in terms of fingerings, articulations and ornamentation.
