THE MISSING ADAGIO, double string orchestra
The Missing Adagio is based on the two transition chords between the two movements of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 3. In a game of overlaps, mirrors, and transparencies, various material is taken from the Brandenburg Concerto itself, as well as from other sources. The piece was premiered by the Holland Baroque Societ at the Amsterdam Cello Biennale in the autumn of 2018.
